Electric Bus Thermal Management FAQ
1.What information is required to select an electric bus thermal management system?
We normally review the vehicle type, battery capacity, battery heat load, required coolant temperature, ambient temperature range, voltage platform, installation space, coolant flow and CAN communication requirements
2. Can EVLINK provide both battery cooling and heating?
Yes. Depending on the project configuration, the thermal system can combine active battery cooling with high-voltage coolant heating for low-temperature battery conditioning
3. How do I choose between a 3kW, 5kW and 12kW BTMS?
Cooling capacity should be selected according to battery heat generation, ambient conditions, charging strategy, coolant temperature target and system margin. EVLINK can review the available project data and recommend an initial configuration
4. Can the coolant heater also support cabin heating?
A high-voltage coolant heater can be configured for battery heating, cabin heating or combined vehicle coolant-loop applications, subject to the system design
5. Does the system support CAN communication?
CAN communication and control logic can be matched according to the vehicle control strategy and project requirements
6. Can the installation interfaces be customized?
Mounting brackets, coolant ports, electrical interfaces, harnesses and selected control functions can be reviewed according to the vehicle packaging requirements
7. Can EVLINK provide prototype samples?
Prototype support can be discussed after the technical requirements and target configuration have been confirmed
8. What documents can be provided for vehicle integration?
Available engineering deliverables may include product specifications, installation dimensions, electrical interface information, coolant interface information, CAN communication documentation and validation information
